Compelling Quotes

Here is a collection of compelling quotes posted over the last two weeks in our various Discord channels:

From Christopher Franko:
“I’ve just kind of come to realize that we HAVE to treat development and crypto in general as a marathon instead of a sprint. We can only sprint for so long; we have been sprinting as an industry for nine years. Now that we have the co-opting of crypto happening from big industries like facebook, the stress to sprint is even higher. But maybe it’s better to just go back to our origins and focus on what made crypto great originally. It seems like a lot of our early adopters forgot. Because they got all that money and just stopped caring about the mission.”.

From a Community Member:
“Agree with @frk. No one really cares about privacy and financial freedom in 2019. Most of crypto anarchists are gone.”

From a Community Member:
“…this is where you have no choice but to admit you’ve got at least a pocket of libertarian ideals, if you truly care about it. What happened with the ICO phenomenon and the previous “moon” phase is a conundrum―global access (virtually), yet individual free choice of participation.

All the ETH- and EXP-style stuff is still very young, and we really don’t know exactly where it’s going. Any route any of this takes, and its clash with government desire to impose regulations (unless it benefits them economically–as it may the institutions the technology is “intended” to “circumvent”), at all, would be hard to argue ethically about. This dilemma is the reason it came about. The fight over its intent is happening and will continue to happen at every stage.”

Open Source Software – Two Sides of the Coin

Why must work be shown on GitHub??? Y’all might believe that everything should be open source, but if you REALLY feel that way, never ever complain about price again. If the Expanse team puts everything they are working on out to the public before it’s complete, they risk larger/more funded groups running ahead with the work. I watch people in here ask for improvements, and when the team goes to work on it, I see impatient chatter.

And…

Oh, I’m just trying to say, I don’t know why it’s giving that error. When I tried to find out, it seems everyone is keeping stuff like that to themselves. I’ve searched for a whole day just to figure out how to add eth stratum 1.0.0 and its literally nowhere to be found. Some people are doing it but won’t share how. I’ve asked pools that have it how they did it, but they just ignore the request.”

Compelling Quotes

Here is a collection of compelling quotes posted over the last two weeks in our various Discord channels:

Christopher Franko shared,ETH is really expensive to work on. ETH has testnets and stuff, but if developers wanted a good test bed to see how their ideas behave in the wild and in a less sterile environment than the ETH test nets, EXP is a solid choice.”.

In case you missed it, a loyal community member calls out another member who repeatedly posts complaints, Why are you even here? To criticize and/or complain about things? How many coins have had trading halted for wallet maintenance?? I lost track of how many times BTC and ETH have had trading or deposits/withdrawals halted simply over bad media and they were crashing. Try asking real questions and I guarantee you’ll get real answers.”

A new community member muses about crypto awareness, “I wonder how much of the population understands blockchain and crypto currencies? What companies are educating every day people about this stuff? More needs to be done to capture the wider market audience Gaming would probably be the ideal entry point to teach people and gain some kind of adoption because in game currencies have been about for several years now.”

Another opinion from the group, “Gaming IS the best way to achieve awareness. The real issue is making it mobile friendly. Blizzard already added crypto to WoW, and it did nothing. ANYTHING people can only do on a PC will not create awareness on a large scale. PC-only concepts simply will not attract an audience that matters.”

Compelling Quotes

Here is a collection of compelling quotes posted over the last two weeks in our various Discord channels:

Christopher Franko shared, “Expanse has a clear purpose for creating the things we are creating. My purpose is I want to create a whole new infrastructure for the citizens of the world to use to transcend the nation state construct.

I want to create global citizens that all have access to the same infrastructure. Tools they can use to bootstrap themselves out of poverty and finally be able to fight our oppressors.Tokenlab marketplace and ukyc are two solid starting points to get where I want to be.With the marketplace people can launch their own nations, be their own Kings, share decentralized systems at will.”

A community member suggests,Create such an atmosphere that investors should feel like investing.  Reach those people, devise excellent RESULT oriented Strategies. Your coin is Good, so don’t finish it, take it to its desired position. Make it a leader again.”

Compelling Quotes

From a community member:The price is not going to go up “just because it has been higher before” it is, as you basically quoted me, going to go up because Tokenlab is launching. And it is not based on the launch itself, but the resulting influx of users. This is groundbreaking. A platform where you can create Tokens and List them on an exchange. And for little or no initial investment. It costs hundreds or even thousands and tens of thousands of dollars to create an Ethereum Token (see Rocket/Rocket FUEL on BitcoinTalk, which is basically Tokenlab but costs $30,000 to use). EXP is about to be hot, I saw PeerCoin, LiteCoin, FeatherCoin, DOGE, etc as they happened, I was there to see the beginning and growth of each. EXP is about to explode.”

From a Tokenlab Beta-tester: “My token successfully minted!.From start to finish took about 22 minutes……Using a 2009 iMac,Safari Version 11.1.2….I will also try to mint a token with Google Chrome. Well done, Team!”

From a Tokenlab beta-tester: “I love the interface, looks great. Good job, Asim.”

Posted by Founder, Christopher Franko, “I’m also working on updating Expanse to a unique version of ETH hash to protect us from 51% attacks.”

Posted by Christopher Franko, “So the other night I couldn’t sleep. And i started thinking about what tokenlab can allow.  When we get the process for launching batches of interconnected contracts we can pretty much make anything.”
